124,000 Prophets and Prophetesses have brought the religion of union with the Divine to the tribes of Adam and Eve, peace be upon them both.  We know the Names of a few, but the majority of them remain mysteries to us.  Perhaps they speak to us in our dreams or when we walk alone in the forests or at the beach along the ocean.  Perhaps the birds sing the revelations.  Perhaps the sun witnessed the beautiful revelations of a woman on a mountaintop reciting a sacred Book or of a group of women who chanted the revelations in a time where the women were the leaders of the tribes.  Perhaps these revelations will be discovered in a cave or in a pot or a woman will sing them as they have been passed on for thousands of years by the women in her village, silently, hide them from the patriarchy that destroyed the altars of priestesses.

3 He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one:
“Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seeds. 4 As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. 5 Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died. 7 Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. 8 Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! 9 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”
10 His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?”
11 He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets[a] of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. 12 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. 13 That is why I use these parables,
For they look, but they don’t really see. They hear, but they don’t really listen or understand.
(Matthew: 13:3-13)

So many Muslims will 'tut-tut' at someone like me who uses all the Books of God/dess.  To toss out every beautiful verse in the Bible or Bhagavad Gita or other sacred Book (whether a Book of pages or the Sacred Book of Nature) is going to get a tut-tut from me.  The heart can sense the verses I have posted above are authentic.  Whether the Quran accepts them or not, the Spark of Light in my heart knows the Light of the verses are true.  Whether the Jesus Seminar qualifies it with pink, gray or red doesn't mean anything to the heart that can feel the presence of the Real.  No one knows if the exact words are being quoted, but Jesus, peace be upon Him, is quoting a Truth all the Holy Books of the God/dess have revealed to every nation they came to.  Enough shunning.
In a hadith, Muhammad said, "The prophets and Prophetesses are all siblings.  We have different mothers, but our religion is one." (Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi)
Islam and Christianity mean so little when practiced at a superficial level.  You do not read a verse in a superficial way; you allow it into your heart where it becomes a pearl.  The muslim is spending their lifetime taking in what they learn from the Prophets and Prophetesses and letting the heart contemplate on it. This way the heart is inspired by it to commit beautiful deeds, to become pure in thoughts, to speak lovingly, gently, kindly and patiently.

Its not the literal words quoted and memorized, but how they resonate within your heart.  How they reach the soul and leave their imprint, how deep they go.  A great quote by Gandhi, for instance, is not great because of the words themselves or even because Gandhi was the one who said it.  It is the meaning of the words and the energy they create within us.  They move us inside to an important experience that can sweeten our hearts with love or commitment to justice or deeper faith.
The heart becomes a treasure chest that belongs to the soul on the Last Day.  When perhaps one will meet every Prophet and Prophetess who helped to create the pearls along with the great Muhammad, saw.
